Training Modules - ReUseHeat

ReUseHeat training modules include all the key learnings from the project research activities and demonstration sites

The ReUseHeat training modules in the form of videos were developed as part of the exploitation and replicability activities in order to share the knowledge and experience obtained during the study and implementation at the four demonstration sites. These modules include presentations of the demo sites and relevant quotes from internal and external partners. For each demonstrator, a separate module was created plus two modules for the overarching topics: the waste heat recovery potential and the business models.

Watch them all in a playlist here.

Module 1: Steffen Nielsen, Associate Professor, Aalborg University, Denmark, explains the role of urban waste heat recovery in district heating and the mapping of waste heat potential.

Module 2: Kristina Lygnerud, Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Sweden, talks about the stakeholder and value chain of the urban waste heat recovery, its bankability and the business models.

Module 3: Pablo Perez Granados, Technical Specialist, Department of Facilities and Energy Efficiency, Grupo Empresarial Electromédico (GEE), Spain, presents the ReUseHeat demonstrator in Madrid involving heat recovery from service sector (hospital), the technical characteristics of the recovery system and the lessons learnt.

Module 4: Christian Keim, Project Manager at EDF, France, presents the ReUseHeat demonstrator involving an awareness-creating dashboard for urban waste heat recovery potential.

Module 5: Karl Ochsner, Managing Director, Ochsner Process Energy Systems, Austria, shares the experiences, challenges and lessons learnt from the ReUseHeat project case on heat recovery from underground trasport infrastructure.

Module 6: Oliver Rosebrock, Technical Consultant, Veolia Energie, Germany, presents the ReUseHeat demonstrator involving waste heat recovery from a datacenter in Braunschweig, the technical characteristics of the recovery system and the lessons learnt.
