TNO is an independent research organisation in the Netherlands that focuses on applied science. TNO connects people and knowledge to create innovations. In this way we sustainably strengthen the competitiveness of companies and the well-being of society. As a part of this, the unit Energy Transition Studies develops non-technological knowledge, methods, and tools, in the techno-economic, socio-economic, and social science fields. The expertise group supports public authorities, companies, and organisations put in place innovations that ensure implementation of the energy transition
