The results of the public consultation on the future of EU Research and Innovation Programmes

The online public consultation on the past, present, and future of the European Research and Innovation Framework Programmes 2014-2027 invited stakeholders and individuals to share their views on the performance of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe and to help shaping the orientations of the next Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027. 

The consultation was closed on 23 February 2023 and the results provide valuable insights into the priorities and concerns of citizens and stakeholders. Respondents indicated that the most important societal challenges over the next 10 years will be 'climate change', 'energy supply', 'loss of biodiversity' and 'strained healthcare systems and ageing European population'.
