Largest public consultation ever held on the past, present and future of the European R&I programmes 2014-2027 is now open!

On 1 December 2022, the European Commission launched a large-scale public consultation on the past, present and future of the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation.

The consultation consists of three separate parts:

  • final evaluation of the Horizon 2020 program (2014-2020)
  • mid-term evaluation of the Horizon Europe program (2021-2027)
  • formation of the second Strategic Plan of the Horizon Europe program for the years 2025-2027

Everyone with an interest in the program is invited to express their views on the successes and shortcomings of the Horizon 2020 program , the implementation of the Horizon Europe program up until now, and thus help to shape the strategic orientation and priorities of the Strategic Plan of the Horizon Europe program for the years 2025-2027.

The consultation is open until 23 February 2023. Questions are available in English, German and French. Participants can answer in all EU languages.

During these 12 weeks, you can answer multiple choice questions and open questions. Respondents can choose to answer one, two or all three parts of the questionnaire.

Answering questions takes approximately 35 minutes, and it is possible to submit more complex positions (position papers) on individual elements.
