During the launch event, attendees will be presented with the most relevant EU-level funding programs for district heating and cooling. This is an excellent opportunity for industry professionals to come together, share insights and best practices, and collaborate on solutions to overcome the financing challenges of district heating projects.

As you may be aware, district heating projects require a significant upfront investment, making it challenging to secure financing, especially on the private side. The Working Group on Finance for District Heating aims to analyse and promote the financing of district heating projects by sharing best practices, identifying public and private financing opportunities, and innovative financing mechanisms.

In addition, the group will provide technical feedback on EU-level legislative initiatives concerning project finance, support a benchmark analysis on factors that increase or limit investments in heat networks, and propose new funding instruments dedicated to the heating sector, especially for DHC, during the upcoming revision of the EU Budget (technically the MFF). Moreover, the group will be a critical forum for discussions on other important subjects such as State Aid revision, EU Taxonomy criteria, the Innovation Fund, and Modernization Fund.

We invite you to join us for this exciting launch event and be part of this important initiative. Let us come together and create solutions that will propel the district heating industry to greater heights.
