District heating in the future - thoughts on the business model
In this study, a combination of methods is applied to understand how business models need to change to meet changing business conditions, with a time horizon up to 2050.
The process of applying the value proposition canvas and the business model canvas for understanding the future business models to the case of district heating has been documented.
It is highlighted that district heating companies will need a business model in 2050 that is much different from the one in use today.
