Call for support: new studies on the potential of DHC to deliver European objectives

We are searching for members keen to support funding for the studies on how Efficient District Heating can cut fossil-fuel imports.

The sector needs a narrative based on updated data regarding the current energy crisis and REPowerEU objectives and the new Commission that will take office at the end of 2024.

The last Board of Directors endorsed the proposal of the Secretariat to launch a new project with Aalborg University. The new project will have two deliverables. By November 2023, a study to highlight how Efficient District Heating can cut fossil-fuel imports by 2030. In 2024, the Aalborg team will work to review the findings of Heat Roadmap Europe to highlight the role of District Heating in the context of a changing energy sector aligned with Green Deal objectives.
