7th International DHC+ Student Awards

On the 7th of May, during the Euroheat & Power Congress in Nantes, the winners of the 7th International DHC+ Student Awards presented their research outcomes and received their prizes.

This year, 11 finalists from 8 countries were on the shortlist of the Evaluation Committee. A high-level jury composed of DHC+ member representatives from industry and academia carefully selected the top three submissions:

  • 1st place winner: Henrique Lagoeiro (London South Bank University, UK) – Paper on Heat from Underground Energy London
  • 2nd place winner: Andrea Menapace (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, IT) – Paper on Stochastic characterisation of the district heating load pattern of residential buildings  
  • 3rd place winner: Gašper Stegnar (University of Ljubljana, SI) – Paper on The framework for evaluation of technical and economic potential in heat pump-based new district heating systems

Winners also published their articles in the International EuroHeat&Power Magazine (issue III-IV 2019).
