5th International DHC+ Student Awards
The DHC+ Technology Platform and the organising committee of the DHC+ Student Awards would like to express a big thank you to everyone who took part in the Student Awards and helped make it a success!
Congratulations to the winners of the 5th edition of the Student Awards:

1st place winner: Gerald Schweiger (AEE – Institute for Sustainable Technologies, Technical University Graz, AT) with his paper Framework for dynamic optimization and simulation of district heating systems

Our panel of judges, which included members of the DHC+ Education & Training Working Group, chose the winning papers based on the following criteria:
- Overall importance to science and technology (30%)
- Methodology and logic of conclusions (20%)
- Clarity and preciseness of presentation and topic (10%)
- Expected market impact, DHC improvement and progress (30%)
- Creativity of approach and subject (10%)
All participants of the Student Awards had the opportunity to receive a personalised feedback on their research and will have more chances to win in the future contests!
This year’s winners were invited to present their research outcomes at the 38th Euroheat & Power Congress (held on 15-16 May 2017 in Glasgow, UK), received a coaching session from David Beckett (a pitch trainer and TEDx speech coach) and published their articles in the International EuroHeat&Power Magazine (issue III/2017 and IV/2017).
