The topic of this year's edition is “Energy System Integration: the role of district heating and cooling.”

Join international students and young professionals for a Summer School entirely focused on District Heating and Cooling. It is an excellent opportunity to learn from renowned lecturers and start creating your network.
The programme of the Summer School is designed for students (Master or PhD level) and young professionals with less than 2 years of experience in the sector.
Participants will have a chance to challenge themselves during the intensive week which will involve lectures, site visits and workshops. We will learn more about Estonian district heating sector, DHC market and research trends in Europe, electrificaton and digitalisation of the sector, waste heat integration and the role of DHC in providing flexibility to the wider energy system. Following its success in 2022, the REWARDHeat Serious Game will feature once again. It will provide participants with the opportunity to tackle various challenges, taking on the roles of government, consumers and producers.
The 2023 edition of the DHC+ Summer School will welcome 36 participants. In order to support Ukraine and its green reconstruction, Euroheat & Power would like to provide free participation to Ukrainian students and young professionals. 4 places will be reserved for eligible candidates.
