10th International DHC+ Student Awards

The winners of the anniversary edition of the Student Awards were announced on 21 June 2022 during the 2022 EHP Conference in Brussels.
The Evaluation Committee composed of 8 academic and industry representatives from the DHC+ Platform assessed all applications received and selected the top three submissions:
- 1st place winner: Frank Wendel (Institute of Energy Economics and Rational Energy Use, University of Stuttgart, DE) – Paper on "Energetic Refurbishment vs. Network expansion? – Change of District Heating Network Expansion Capabilities due to Efficiency Enhancement Potentials using Probabilistic Building-Specific Heat Demand Simulations"
- 2nd place winner: Selva Veronica Calixto (Politecnico di Milano, IT) – Paper on "Techno-economic tool for the evaluation of neutral-temperature district heating and cooling networks and individual solutions"
- 3rd place winner: Lucia Doyle (HafenCity University, DE) – Paper on "The use of diisocyanates required for polyurethane manufacturing has been restricted. Which insulation will district heating pipes use?"
All winners will publish their articles in the International EuroHeat&Power Magazine (issue III-IV 2022).
The DHC+ Platform and the organising committee of the DHC+ Student Awards would like to congratulate the winners for their outstanding papers and contribution to the further development of the sector.
