CASCADE is a project financed by IEA-DHC. It investigates the potentials to introduce low-temperature sub-networks into existing district heating networks, which are primarily fed by the return flow. It analyses potential advantages of this solution and whether this solution can contribute to transition the existing main networks to low-temperature ones. Best practices are identified, barriers/drivers are analysed, and technical modelling was conducted.
On 15 December, the project will hold its final workshop.
