Webinar on May 31st “Challenges and solutions for a 100% renewable heating and cooling sector in Germany”. The roundtable is part of a series of events supported by the European Commission under the umbrella of RHC-ETIP
This document aims to give an overview of the current state of funding for RHC innovation in Europe. It presents factsheets providing an inventory of funding instruments for innovative RHC, followed by the results of two surveys.
The fourth and last live training on urban waste heat recovery offered by ReUseHeat will be held online on Tuesday 24 May. The training session is focusing on the key learnings from the ReUseHeat demonstrator at Braunschweig, Germany where the waste heat from a datacenter will be used in the local district heating network.
This survey was designed by the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling (RHC-ETIP) with the aim to collect information on the main challenges/difficulties that project managers face when applying for EU funding related to renewable heating and cooling. This information will help the RHC-ETIP identify the main barriers and solutions to strengthen heating and cooling in terms of R&D and deployment across the EU.
The modernisation and decarbonisation of district heating requires multifaceted action. The establishment of an enabling policy framework is needed to support the rollout of networks across Europe; while innovative technical solutions are required to upgrade networks and enable the efficient integration of local and renewable energy sources.
