Motivation

My believe:

Local Energy communities will speed up the decarbonisation of heating, cooling and electric power supply with a strong bottom-up approach. Sector coupling with district heating & cooling is the key to achieve EU “Fit for 55” targets.

Giulia joined Euroheat & Power in September 2019 as a Policy Officer and was promoted to Policy Manager in January 2022. Prior to joining our team, she worked as a senior consultant, providing strategic advocacy and communications advice on key energy and environmental policies, particularly related to the EU energy transition, sustainability and the circular economy.

She has a range of previous industry experience in the climate and energy fields, including positions in the European Parliament, Friends of Europe and the European Climate Foundation.

Jiska Klein is Senior Sustainability Manager at Asper Investment Management. Jiska is responsible for developing Asper’s sustainability strategy, gathering ESG data from our renewable energy platforms, engagement with stakeholders and reporting on ESG.  

Jiska has more than 8 years of experience in management consulting around ESG, corporate sustainability, climate risk and circular economy. Jiska joins from a climate change and sustainability advisory role within KPMG. At KPMG Sustainability, Jiska advised multinational companies within the financial and non-financial sector on ESG-related regulations, responsible investment and ESG-related matters. She conducted many audits on social & environmental performances of companies’ sites in Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Asper is an independent investment manager focused on building sustainable real assets. Our mission is to ‘Build the New’ power system, urban energy networks and other sustainable infrastructure, by establishing and growing large-scale sustainable platforms with a meaningful, positive impact on the environment and its communities. At Asper we seek investment opportunities across the sustainable heat space, be it in the development and construction of new heat networks, the refurbishment of ageing assets or the deployment of new technologies.

Aksana Krasatsenka

Aksana joined Euroheat & Power in February 2013, and gradually progressing into more advanced roles, in September 2022, she became Director of Knowledge Transfer.

Aksana has been involved in an important number of EU funded projects leading communication and dissemination activities, social media strategy and European replication actions. She is in charge of DHC+ members' relations, knowledge transfer and DHC+-related communications. In addition, she coordinates the Global District Energy Climate Awards and Education & Training initiatives, such as the International DHC+ Summer School and DHC+ Student Awards.

She is passionate about supporting young generation and cities in learning how to plan, deploy new and modernise existing DHC networks. She does so by leveraging on the solid basis that Euroheat & Power members and projects have created in the past years.

Pauline joined Euroheat & Power in January 2019 as a Policy Officer and was promoted to Policy Manager in April 2021. Within the policy team, she manages the work on renewable energy and waste heat, industrial emissions, the EU Emissions Trading System, as well circular economy and digitalisation.

Pauline is an EU public affairs and policy expert, specialised in energy and environment. Over the last 8 years, she has gained experience in advocacy and stakeholder dialogue supporting association and corporate clients from the industry, for a Brussels-based public affairs agency. She was also a bluebook trainee at the European Commission, DG NEAR.

He is specialised in project management with vast experience in the preparation, design and management of EU projects and tenders within different financing programmes.

At EHP, Gabriele supports the policy team in the analysis of European legislation and mechanisms in the fields of sustainable and infrastructure finance relevant to district heating and cooling. He also coordinates and supports the DHC+ team and the Euroheat accountant in managing financial aspects, related to EU projects and advises the Head of DHC+ and the Euroheat Managing Director on EU project general management and in the planning and management of resources. Additionally, he manages the contribution of DHC+ to the TEMPO and COOL DH projects funded by H2020, mainly in the area of communication.
