OPET CHP/DHC cluster project - FP5

The project led by Danish Technological Institute, is co-financed by the European Commission (under the 5th Framework Programme) and involves a large number of partners. The project is structured in 7 Working Packages (WP).

The project objectives are:

  • modernisation of the DH-systems in Central and Easter European Countries (CEEC), and improving the sector's economic and environmental performance,
  • stimulate market development and eliminate barriers for new/innovative CHP technologies, eg. small, mini and micro scale CHP technologies
  • facilitating the further introduction of biomass in CEEC
  • informative measures aiming to facilitate EU CHP directive as well as the transfer of state-of-art knowledge. Special focus will be given to dissemination of tools and methods for certification of CHP production, which is expected to be a central element in the directive.

EHP is a participant in the project in WP 1 and WP 4.
