At the General Assembly of June 3rd, and following the end of the second mandate for President Antonio Bonomo, a new President and Vice-President of Euroheat & Power were confirmed.

After four years of an influential and active Presidency, outgoing President Antonio Bonomo wished his successor well, as he handed over to the man who had been his Vice-President, Birger Lauersen.

New President:
Danish Birger Lauersen has worked for Danish District Heating Association since 1994. He has been a member of Euroheat & Power board since 1998 and also chairman of its Energy Policy Group since 2002. He was elected vice president of Euroheat & Power in June 2008. Like 62 % of Danes, he enjoys the benefits of district heating in his home.

New Vice-President:
French Frédéric Hug, joined Elyo, now Cofely (GDF SUEZ Energy Services) in 1988 after some years with Exxon’s French subsidiary. He is now Environment and Innovation Director at GDF SUEZ Energy Services, where his responsibilities include Sustainable Development. He also chairs the MEDEF (French Business organisation) Energy Efficiency workgroup and sits at the board of several French and European professional organisations.
