Today, we have moved in the right direction in order to meet the 2020 targets set by the European Council in 2007. The proposals on the promotion of renewable energies and adjustment of the emissions trading scheme clearly recognize the importance of taking action in the heating and cooling markets. Euroheat & Power, the international association for district heating and cooling (DHC), welcomes the package on implementing the EU climate change and energy strategy released by the European Commission.
